Moo Myung and Mak Moon sneak into a city to find Mak Moon's family. However, when inside the city, their search has some obstacles they need to overcome.

Wehwa agrees to create the 'Hwarang' as part of Queen Jiso's huge plan to help secure Silla's future.

Wehwa evaluates Hwarang applicants. Ahnji suggests that Dog-Bird adopt Seon-name u's and pose as his son in order to remain in the city.

Ahnji runs into someone from his past, and Seon-u is being taught the ways of the nobility in order to join the Hwarang, but he gets into trouble.

A new chapter opens for Silla, which is still the weakest of the three kingdoms. The Queen is surprised by Hwarang's ceremony.

Training begins at the Hwarang house. Temper flares among the candidates as the highborn sons starts to adjust to the spartan rules and seon-u half-breed status paves way for the conflict.

The members of Hwarang takes their first written test. A-ro borrows money to pay off her debt in an effort to stay away from Jinheung.

The second task given to Hwarang is to perform at a festival for the Silla population.

Learning that Dog-Bird is not her brother, A-ro faces some difficulty. Princess Sookmyung arrives at Hwarang House.

Jinheung becomes determined to protect A-ro when her eavesdropping leads to dangerous consequences. Suho finally remembers what happened to Sooyun and goes after Banryu.

Princess Sookmyung proposes fatal training for the Hwarang. Master Youngshil finds proof that the king is a Hwarang member.

Rumors fly as everyone tries to figure out who the king is. Hanseong and Dansae clash over their statuses.

When Silla's alliance with Baekje is threatened, Princess Sookmyung is sent to negotiate for peace, escorted by Hwarang.

While the delegates face diplomatic challenges, tensions run high back at Hwarang House.

Dog-Bird is forced to fight Baekje's crown prince, who has more than one plan to conquer Silla.
