Karthik (Naga Chaitanya) is a smart youngster and fresh engineering graduate. His dream is to become a filmmaker, a director. With a caring mother and father (Surekha Vani and Sanjay Swaroop), Karthik's life goes on smooth. He has a friend Krishna (Krishnudu), who is an actor into movies. Karthik's life takes an interesting turn and colourful when he instantly falls in love with Jessie (Samantha), the daughter of his Christian landlord Joseph (Devan). Jessie, who is two years older than Karthik, comes from a different religious background. She hesitates to respond to Karthik's crazy love. The fear hidden behind Jessie's hesitation though she loves Karthik at first sight, is because she is worried about the caste differences in between both their families. Karthik confesses his love. Jessie leaves for Kerala on a vacation, but Karthik follows her. They become friends and later realise that they are truly in love. Jessie's marriage is arranged with a Malayali boy, but she cleverly avoids it. Crossing all social barriers, they decide to live together. Soon, Karthik becomes renowned Tollywood Director Puri Jagannath's assistant and gets into a busy life. He leaves to Goa for a shoot and things take a U-turn at the same time. When Karthik returns, he notices a different Jessie, who rejects his love and disappears overnight. After three years, Karthik has been directing his first film in the USA, 'Jessie', and that too is his own love story. Here he finds his lost first love again, the same Jessie who is still unmarried and living with Karthik's past memories. What happened next? Did they get married? What happened to Karthik's film 'Jessie'? It builds to an interesting climax.
