Thangaraj (Samuthrakani) is a writer in a police station. He does some minor duties in the station. He is already fighting a court case and asking for a union. He has two wives. However, the movie does not talk much about his personal life. Devakumar (Hari Krishnan), a PhD student, is unjustly arrested. The writer's life changes after this incident. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Trivedi Sharma (Kavin Jay Babu), plays a crucial role in this unfair arrest. The story has a twist when the writer keeps Devakumar under his control. When Devakumar is under the supervision of Thangaraj, he explains the incidents that led to his arrest. Following this, some unexpected events take place. The news about the wrong arrest and injustice spreads. This event puts the writer in trouble. How does the writer handle the situation? What happens to the student? Was the DCP's cunning behaviour exposed? All these questions lead to the climax. A flashback shows how Sharma rejected applications for the horse-riding team of the police force.
