The story of Vivekanandan Viral follows Vivekanandan (Shine Tom Chacko), a government employee. He maintains a "lovable" image in his home town while he leads a different life in the city. He is married to Sithara (Swasika Vijay) but also shares a live-in relationship with Diana (Grace Antony). The core of the film addresses the serious and often undiscussed issue of marital rape and the importance of consent. Vivekanandan's narcissistic and predatory behaviour eventually pushes the women in his life to their breaking point.
