Hero Murali plays the role of Sekhar, a farmer living with his mother and sister in a village near Tenkasi. Though he works hard, agriculture doesn’t seem to help him much by pushing him into neck deep losses. Sekhar decides to go to Dubai for work and earn money for the family to come out of problems. He sells part of his land and pays one lakh rupees to Anand Raj who runs a firm, which is into sending human labour to Arab countries. Parthiban plays the role of Muthuraman and his story runs in parallel to Sekhar’s story. Muthu is a graduate, but is working as an accountant under a landlord in his village. Valli is the daughter of that landlord. Muthu and Valli fall in love with each other. The landlord doesn’t accept their love. Muthu and Valli get married going against Valli’s father. Valli challenges her father that Muthu will earn good and give her a great life. Muthu too wishes to go to Dubai for work, to earn money and pays money to Anadaraj for a job in Dubai. The time arrives for them to leave for Dubai. All the people who have paid to Anandaraj are taken to Chennai for catching the flight to Dubai as scheduled. But, there comes a big jolt to them all. Anandaraj doesn’t turn up to the airport. They learn he is a fraudster and has run away taking all the money collected. Sekhar and Muthu come out with a plan not to disappoint their families.
