Parthiban plays a big fan of the actress Rambha and a taxi driver who only thinks about himself. His character’s name is not revealed in the movie. Meena plays Mahalakshmi, whose father was a rich landowner but lost all his money and died. Mahalakshmi is left with a lot of debt. Parthiban, the taxi driver, drives Mahalakshmi and her dead father's body back to her hometown. There, a man named Anandaraj, to whom Mahalakshmi owes money, treats her badly because she can't pay him back. Parthiban helps Mahalakshmi by giving Anandaraj his taxi instead of the money to save her at that moment. But here's the funny part: Parthiban then starts to annoy Mahalakshmi, even though he doesn't mean to so that she will give him back his taxi quickly. Later on, Mahalakshmi starts to fall in love with Parthiban because he keeps helping and supporting her. Just then, Parthiban's favourite actress, Rambha, comes to the palace to film a movie. This makes Mahalakshmi very angry and jealous because Parthiban pays all his attention to Rambha. After the filming is done, Rambha tries to talk to Parthiban and Mahalakshmi and make them see that they love each other. However, Mahalakshmi doesn't think Parthiban loves her. The ending is interesting. The plot is different, and there are many comedy scenes. The actors have done a good job. The songs are nice. Overall, Unnaruge Naan Irundhal is a decent watch.
