Thiri is about Jeeva (Ashwin), a college student in his final year of mechanical engineering. He is a happy son in a typical cheerful family. His dad (Jayaprakash) seems strict but loves him. His mother (Anupama Kumar) is caring. There is a girl, Swathi (Swathi Reddy), next door, a playful girl who Jeeva likes romantically. Swathi's father is being forced by Angannan (AL Azhagappan), a powerful and bad politician, to sell his land for less money than it is worth. Meanwhile, Jeeva gets into a fight with Kishore (Arjai), who is Angannan's son and also runs Jeeva's college. Kishore gets revenge by messing up Jeeva's school record. When Jeeva realizes that the politician and his son won't leave him alone, he decides to fight back. To know how he does that, watch the film.
