Anbazhagan works in Kuwait, staying far away from his family. After three years, he comes back home to his family. His wife Kalaichelvi, his mother and his two children are happy to be reunited after a long time. His younger brother is Thamizh. As he wasn’t seen around, he asks his mother and wife about him. Surprisingly, both avoid his question about Thamizh. Anbazhaghan notices a riot taking place on the street. Neighbour Murthy and his sister, who is pregnant are the victims in it. Thamizh comes, beats up all the goons. Anbazhaghan is shocked to witness his brother being so violent. Here starts the flashback story of why Thamizh has transformed. Thamizh is leading a happy life living with mother and sister in law, as his elder brother works in Kuwait. Thamizh also wishes to join his brother in Kuwait. Meenakshi is a beautiful young girl and is Thamizh’s neighbour. Thamizh and Meenakshi fall in love with each other. Two gangs, led by Periyavar and Rathnam, are the trouble makers in their neighbourhood. On Diwali day, goons of Periyavar hurt Thamizh’s brother's son. Thamizh stops Periyavar on the road and confronts him. When Periyavar’s goons attack, he beats them all up badly. With this, Periyavar feels insulted and keeps a grudge on Thamizh. He wants to hurt Thamizh and regain his lost fame. Thamizh tries to stay away from all these. But Periyavar starts provocating and attacking. Thamizh joins hands with Rathnam, the rival gang leader of Periyavar. The story ends with Thamizh successfully defeating Periyavar.
