Ramayana is a familiar story. Sri Rama Rajyam is an aesthetic, artistic and brilliant celluloid poetry that every Telugu movie lover should watch. The movie starts after Rama (Balakrishna), Sita (Nayanthara), Lakshmana (Srikanth), and Hanuman return from Lanka to Ayodhya after the victory over Ravana. The kingdom of Ayodhya rejoices, and everyone is happy. Rama is the emperor of Ayodhya, and he promises equality and prosperity to the people. But when a clothier (Brahmanandam) questions Sita's 'purity', Rama realises that people still doubt Sita even after the Agni Pareeshka. Out of duty, he banishes pregnant Sita from the kingdom. Rama asks Lakshmana to leave Sita in the forests.Sita takes refuge in the ashram of the great sage Valmiki (Nageswara Rao). He keeps it a secret and treats her as his daughter. Sita gives birth to twins Lava-Kusa (Master Gaurav, Master Dhanush). She raises her children, Lava and Kusa, as ordinary children without informing them of their heritage. Valmiki trains Lava and Kusa in all the 'sciences'. They grow up learning the story of Rama's kingdom and reach Ayodhya to spread his story.Rama performs the Ashwamedha Yagya for the benefit of the kingdom. Lava and Kusa capture the sacred yagya horse, which wanders in the forest. A fight breaks out between the children and Lakshmana (Srikanth), and when Lakshmana fails, Rama enters the fray.Sita stops the fight and reveals her true identity to her children. Lava and Kush reunite with their father, Rama, and Sita leaves this mortal world with her mother, Bhudevi (Roja).
