Sethupathi (Vijayakanth) is a great police officer. His family has a long history of serving their country. His mother is a high-up person in the government, his grandfather was a courageous soldier who won a medal for his courage, and his father-in-law is a police officer with a high rank. Sethupathi secretly wishes he could have his grandfather's medal. Sethupathi catches a terrorist named Sivasubramaniam in a hospital. He gets the terrorist to tell him about their plan to attack the Prime Minister when the Prime Minister has a meeting in Chennai. After giving this information to Sethupathi, the terrorist uses Sethupathi's gun to kill himself. Using the information he got, Sethupathi stops the terrorist attack and saves the Prime Minister's life. Sivasubramaniam's brother, Sivaprakasham (Kazan Khan), who is also the leader of the terrorist group, comes to India. He plans to carry out another attack and also wants to kill Sethupathi's whole family to get revenge. The rest of the story tells what happens next in an interesting way. Meena plays Vijayakanth's wife in the movie. Vijayakanth is excellent in his role as a brave police officer.
