Seethalakshmi gets pregnant, but never reveals name of father. It is considered as a sin to get pregnant without marriage and thus she is put in front of the village panchayat. Periya Ayya is the chief of that village. He passes a judgment that Seetha has to live alone in a small hut until she gives birth to the kid. Once Seetha gives birth to a kid, the village chief takes away the kid and send s the kid away from her to another village. Seethalakshmi’s wedding is arranged with another man named Dharmaraj by the chief. This runs as the past in the film. Years roll away. The young man Sakthi comes back to his village. They both like each other and fall in love. Here enters the villain of the story, Sethupathi. He is the brother of Seetha. He once tries to rob some valuable items from the temple. When Sethupati and team attemot robbery for the first time, Sakthi blocks them and fights back with the goons of Sethupati. Sakthi stands the reason for the failure of his first attempt. In his second attempt, Sethupati robs the Kalasha and gets Sakthi trapped into the robbery. The village chief Periya Ayya suspends Sakthi from his duties.
