Sahasa Veerudu Sagara Kanya is a mix of fantasy, romance, action, and adventure. The story revolves around a local fisherman named Raviraj (played by Venkatesh), a mermaid called Sagarakanya (Shilpa Shetty), and Ganga (Malasree), who has feelings for Raviraj. They all live with their crew in a seaside house. Back in 1947, when India became independent, the British stole a ship filled with gold, diamonds, jewellery, and artefacts. The main antagonist, Motichand (Kaikala Satyanarayana), is on a mission to recover that sunken treasure. He teams up with a witch who has magical powers to help him find it. After several attempts, the witch discovers that only a mermaid can help retrieve the treasure. Using her magic, she finds Sagarakanya, who forces her to come to land, where she turns into a stunning woman.Raviraj and his crew rescue her and allow her to stay until she heals. Although she can't speak like humans, she mimics those around her and is named Bangaram. Over time, she learns everything and even falls for Raviraj, who remains unaware of her true identity and her ability to develop scaled fins when wet. The plot thickens as the villains continue to pursue Sagarakanya for the treasure, eventually succeeding in bringing it to the surface. In a thrilling turn of events, Raviraj saves her, and together they triumph over the evil forces. In the end, the treasure returns to the ocean, and Sagarakanya helps unite Raviraj with his cousin Ganga. Finally, Sagarknaya (Shilpa Shetty) returns to the sea.
