

Rasukutty is a family drama, interwoven with loads of comedy and some great music. The director Bhagyaraj plays the hero Rasakutty himself. He is an irresponsible son of a wealthy landlord and pampered very badly by his mother. He is a school dropout and has no interest towards studies. He is a vagabond accompanied by an assistant cum friend, always by his side. His only routine is to get ready and go around with his enjoyment. Rasakutty sees the photo of a beautiful girl in a photo studio. He fixes, she is his wife. He finds out that her name is Rukmini and is well educated. The efforts of hero and his friend are a laughter ride for audiences. Amidst some family drama, Rasakutty gets engaged to Rukmini. On the day of engagement, Rukmini finds the truth that Rasakutty isn’t as educated as told and is a school dropout. She gets furious on Rasakutty, his mother and father for cheating her. She cancels the engagement and leaves from there. This leads Rasakutty to protest sitting in front of Rukmini’s house. She hires goons to drive him out, but he beats them all up. Rukmini realises his love and accepts to marry him. Then comes the real twist, Rasakutty’s father says no for their marriage as she humiliated him and his wife on the engagement day. Rasakutty in anger hurts his father and mother with his words. But then, he learns not to be their real son, but just an adopted one. This breaks his heart. What happens next forms the rest of ‘Rasakutty’ film’s story.
