Raavana Kottam is a movie about society and politics. It talks about problems like not having enough water and big companies using their power unfairly. Chandrabose (played by Prabhu) is the most respected man in his village. The village is split into two sections. But everyone in both sections is treated the same, and they live peacefully together. Sengu (played by Shanthnu), who is Chandrabose's son, falls in love with Indhira (played by Anandhi). The love scenes between the couple are short but sweet. This love causes trouble between two young men – Sengu from the upper part of the village and Madhi from the lower part. A fight breaks between the two sections, leading to the death of many people. The movie ends by pointing out how powerful people take advantage of others for their own reasons. The movie shows the feelings and pride of the people in the two parts of the village. The scenery in the Ramnad area is filmed beautifully. The local feel of the place is shown well. Shanthnu acts very well and really carries the whole movie. Anandhi's way of speaking and showing emotions is impressive. As always, Prabhu plays his character easily and convincingly. The other actors, Ilavarasu, Aruldoss, and Deepa Shankar, also do a good job in their roles. Overall, Ravana Kottam is a good movie about society and politics.
