




Kumar (Dhanush), nicknamed ""Kokki,"" is in jail and thinking about his past. In the flashback, he is a student living in a poor area of Chennai. He has seen his father kill his mother. He ran away and became a beggar. One day, the police arrests him by mistake with a group of thugs. He is beaten and ends up working for Anbu, a local gang leader. He becomes friends with Mani, another gang member. During a fight with a rival gang led by a politician's brother, Kumar kills the brother all by himself. This makes his gang respect him. Anbu makes Kumar join a group of hired killers. Kumar learns how to be a killer and survives attacks from the politician's men. Krishnaveni (Sneha) is a prostitute working for Anbu. Kumar becomes friends with her. Over time, Kumar becomes very powerful and is feared in the world of crime. He keeps killing people. He meets Selvi (Sonia Agarwal), Mani's sister, and forces her to marry him on her wedding day. What happens next and how he ends up in jail is told in a brilliant and realistic screenplay. Dhanush has acted excellently in the movie. Sneha and Sonia Agarwal have done their roles perfectly. The other actors in the film include Azhagam Perumal, Nitish Veera, Boxer Dheena, and Aadukalam Murugadoss. All of them have acted very well. The movie has many realistic, violent scenes.
