Priyuralu Pilichindi is the Telugu dubbed version of the acclaimed Tamil film "Kandukondain Kandukondain," directed by Rajiv Menon. This musical romance is loosely based on Jane Austen's novel "Sense and Sensibility". The film stars Tabuas Soumya, Aishwarya Rai as Meenakshi, Ajith Kumar as Manohar, Abbas as Srikanth, and Mammootty as Captain Bala. The narrative revolves around two sisters, Soumya and Meenakshi, who lead a comfortable life in their ancestral home. Soumya, the elder and more practical sister falls in love with Manohar, an aspiring film director struggling to make his debut. Meenakshi, the younger and more romantic one, is admired by the kind-hearted Army Captain Bala, who lost a leg in an accident. But she is attracted to Srikanth, a businessman. He also likes poetry, and they bond over this shared passion. They lead a happy and carefree life until the sudden demise of their grandfather. Their life turns upside down after the incident. They lose their family home and are forced to move to the city, facing financial hardships. However, city life doesn't treat them well. Both sisters face new challenges in their love lives. On one hand, Manohar's film career is a hit, and there are rumours of an affair between his heroine and him. This causes a rift with Soumya. On the other hand, Srikanth abandons Meenakshi for a wealthier bride. Amidst all this, Captain Bala remains a supportive presence in Meenakshi's life. The movie blends their journeys of heartbreak, resilience, and rediscovery, exploring themes of love, hope, and the changing fortunes of life.
