Ashok (Madhavan) and Julie (Sridevi Vijayakumar) have been friends since they were kids. They are just friends and don't like each other romantically. Ashok falls in love with a rich girl named Nandini (Jyothika) and marries her. At first, Nandini is slightly bothered by how close Julie is to Ashok, but later, she understands and accepts their friendship. Julie falls in love with Michael D'Souza (Vineeth), a cricket player. Michael wants to play for the Indian cricket team, and Ashok is his main competitor for a spot on the team. When Ashok gets chosen for the team instead of Michael, Michael's father makes a deal with Ashok. He says that Michael can only marry Julie if Ashok gives up his spot on the team and lets Michael play instead. Michael's father also tells Ashok to stop being friends with Julie, so he won't get in the way of Michael and Julie's life together. Ashok agrees to this. Ashok pretends that he doesn't want to be friends with Julie anymore. Julie decides to leave Ashok's house and plans to stay with Michael. Ashok plans to sell his house, give the money to Julie, and move to Mumbai with Nandini, where a friend has offered him a job. Ashok and Nandini leave their house without telling Julie. Does Julie realize the sacrifice of Ashok? Does Ashok play for the Indian cricket team? To know the answers, watch the film. All the actors have done a good job. The songs are nice.
