Vijay (Vijay) is a young businessman in Ooty who runs a big tea company. He only wants to have fun and spends most of his time partying and meeting girls. Because he doesn't manage the company well, it loses a lot of money. To fix this, Vijay asks his father, Rajashekar, who lives in the United States, to come to India to sign some papers. Sadly, Rajashekar dies in a plane crash on his way. Vijay's uncle, Ashok (Manivannan), suggests finding an older person to pretend to be Vijay's father until the documents are signed. They go to an old people's home in Coimbatore and meet Selvam (Sivaji Ganesan). They ask Selvam to act as Vijay's father, and he agrees. Selvam sees that Vijay lives carelessly, just wanting to have fun, and it reminds him of when he was young. Selvam cares for Vijay a lot and thinks of him as his own son. Vijay learns that Selvam was married to a woman named Shantha (Saroja Devi), but they have been living apart for 34 years. Vijay wants to help them get back together, so he looks for Shantha and finds her. Meanwhile, a woman named Kavitha (Simran) starts working at Vijay's company. Vijay is very attracted to Kavitha and falls in love with her because of her beauty and how she talks to him. But their love faces problems because of Kavitha's mother. Now, Vijay tries to reunite Selvam and Shantha, and Selvam tries to help Vijay and Kavitha get together. At first, Kavitha tries to kill Vijay. To know the reason, watch the movie.
