The film is about a unique village named Yamasingapuram. There are two divisions in the village; one set lives on the ground, and they cultivate and supply food for the other set of the village. The other people live on the mountain, making a living by stealing gold without harming anyone and respecting girls. They sell gold to the people living down and get food from them. Both the groups pray to Lord Yamaraja and are always dressed in Black. The chief is named Yama, and he and two friends come to town to search for his wife. They found the girl, and she was a college-going student; they planned to kidnap her and take her to Yamasingapuram. Harish falls in love with her in college, and they start dating. Harish plans to kidnap Saumya with Yama's help and protect her to give the impression of a hero, but Yama takes her to their village. Whenever Saumya asked anything, people would say, ‘O manchi roju chusi chapta’; she got so angry with the reply. Harish tries to get help from the police, but they denied. So, he and his friend start searching for her and land in Yamasingapuram. He sees that Saumya is about to get married to Yama. Confused, Saumya questions about the marriage, and finally, her dad reveals why she is getting married. Harish and Saumya try all their possible ways to skip marriage but fail Until Yama realizes that Godavari loves him and lets Saumya go with Harish and marry Godavari.
