The movie begins when Chinni travels by train from Pune to Hyderabad. He was in jail for the last seven years, and the flashback shows the reason for what he is today. Chinni was an aspiring singer waiting for his big break. After listening to his voice, Indu becomes his fan, though she doesn’t get to see him. Chinni tries to meet Indu, but by the time he can convey who he is, Indu ends up thinking that he is rowdy. Due to unavoidable circumstances, Chinni is responsible for losing her eyesight. From then on, he takes care of her and always tries to help her when in need. Indu also starts loving and respecting her for the concern and care he has shown, unaware that he is the same guy she thinks is rowdy. Chinni always wrote letters to her mother and updated her on everything happening. When she died, she donated her eyes to Indu, and Chinni donated his kidney to get the amount needed for the operation. He later decides to move to Pune; while travelling, an unknown person asks him to look after their luggage, which contains explosives, and thus, he gets arrested. Coming back from the flashback, everything around has changed. Chinni sees Indu and goes to meet her, who is now a collector.
