The story of NH4 revolves around Prabhu and Rithika. Prabhu falls for Rithika, his classmate. She accepted his feelings but parted ways as her father disapproved of their relationship. Prabhu, with his friends, plans to elope with Rithika, so they kidnap her. Rithika's father appointed ACP Manoj Menon IPS, an encounter specialist. He questions Rithika's male friend, Deepak, about Prabhu. Then Deepak told them that Prabhu was a drug addict and tried to pursue Rithika, so she started to avoid him. Manoj tries to track Prabhu and his friends. In the process, they track a message from another friend, Umesh and ask Prabhu and his friend to come to the Bangarpet bus stand so that Manoj and his team can arrest him and get more information. Manoj goes to the railway station to get into the train on which Prabhu and Rithika are travelling, Chennai via Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh. He finds Rithika and drags her forcefully to his jeep. Rithika recalls the time when she fell for Prabhu in many instances, showing his presence of mind. As she recalls, Manoj finds Prabhu on the highway; he doesn't stop him until they run over the glass pieces that Prabhu placed. Then they get into a fight, and Prabhu loses. Manoj proceeds on the highway but unfortunately had to stop at the railway signal at the Andhra Pradesh-Karnataka border. Prabhu takes this as an opportunity and threatens Manoj by placing a blade on his throat and taking Rithika with him. Was Manoj succeeded in his mission? What happened to Prabhu & Rithika?
