Raghu (Raghuvaran), who has a job working with passports, and his wife Shanthi (Shanthi Krishna) split up after he tells her he was unfaithful. Raghu's brother, Vijay (Vijay), and Shanthi's brother, Surya (Suriya), choose sides in the breakup. Vijay blames Shanthi for the split, while Surya blames Raghu. This causes the two brothers-in-law to fight with each other. Vijay and Surya also find love with two women, Kaushalya and Simran. Meanwhile, Raghu refuses to create a fake passport for a wanted politician (Karan), who then threatens him. The movie starts with an interesting idea: two brothers fighting because their older brother and sister-in-law have separated. The fight scenes between Vijay and Surya are exciting to watch. Some scenes are thrilling, like when they are searching for a woman who has been kidnapped. Suriya's acting is fine. Vijay acts in his usual style. Simran and Kaushalya have smaller roles, appearing in only a few scenes and songs. However, they do add something positive to the movie. Raghuvaran and Shanthi Krishna are good as the siblings of Vijay and Surya. Karan plays a convincing villain. The movie has a good central idea. Overall, Nerukku Ner is a decent movie to watch, and it has a lot of well-known actors in it.
