Pandiyan (Pandi), the son of P. Meena Kumari who is police inspector of Puducherry. He grows up along with criminals and becomes an adult without his mother knowing he is an incompetent thug. He falls in love with Kadhambari (Kadhu), who is deaf. She is Ravikumar's daughter and an honest police officer. Fifteen years earlier, the sub-inspector Ravikumar arrested the gangster Killi. To take revenge, he slapped Ravi's office while shopping with Kadhu. Later, Ravi arrested almost all the members of Killi’s gang. Killi sent a gift to Ravi's house with a bomb, which killed Ravi's wife, and Kadhu lost her hearing ability. Thereafter, Ravi moved to a different place with his daughter and returned in his last year of service. For the previous two days, Kadhu has been unable to talk to her father, so she takes help from Pandi to search for him. Pandi gets to know that Ravi was killed by Killi the night he met Kadhu. He hides the truth from her so as not to distress her. Eventually, she finds out that her father is dead. She is determined to go after Killi to take revenge. Pandi agrees to help her on the condition that he will try to hold him only if she stabs him. Kadhu, Pandi, and his gang plan to murder Killi, but because of political rivalry, their plan remains unsuccessful. Pandi gang disagrees with taking any risk, and Kadhu decides to go alone, as she doesn’t want any split in the team. The moment Kadhu tries to kill Killi, she falls into trouble, and Pandi reaches the right moment to save her. Their plan to kill Killi remains unsuccessful, but Killi and the gangster stabs each other to death, and Pandi smartly takes the credits to impress Kadhu.
