




Priya (Kajol) is a friendly student in Ooty who loves singing and church. Her father, Amalraj (Girish Karnad), owns a clothing business and wants Priya to take over, but she wants to become a nun. Amalraj tries to stop her by arranging a marriage, but it doesn't work. Thomas Thangadurai (Arvind Swamy), who grew up with Priya, returns from Harvard with a PhD to help his father, James (SP Balasubramaniam), with his clothing business. James used to work with Amalraj but now has a shop across from his. Amalraj doesn't like James, even though Thomas and Priya are friends. Priya meets Thomas again when he visits his aunt, who is the Mother Superior at Priya's school. Thomas likes Priya but can't tell her. He's surprised she wants to be a nun. He asks a hairstylist named Deva (Prabhu Deva), who is good at changing women's minds, to talk to her. Deva is unsure but agrees. Deva and his blind musician friend, Guru (Nassar), become friends with Priya and ask her to join their music group. Deva and Guru try to make Priya fall in love with Thomas. But Deva starts to fall in love with Priya himself. Priya also falls in love with Deva. The plot is an exciting triangular love story. All the actors have delivered great performances. The music is excellent. The visuals are breathtaking. The film is fun to watch. Overall, Minsara Kanavu is a beautiful romantic drama you can enjoy with your family.
