Samandhi (Sri Priyanka) is a female cop. Due to a tiff with her higher officer, she is deliberately assigned as security cover on a sunny day. She must remain in a particular spot over a bridge until the VIP visiting a famous temple in the town passes the bridge. Initially, she seems to be speaking to her boyfriend over the phone and having a typical day at work. But things change dramatically as the day progresses. The scorching sun demands her to drink much water, and she badly wants to answer nature’s call. However, her senior officer, who resents her, does not allow her to find a restroom nearby and relieve herself. The officer ensures that she doesn’t move an inch and suffers. What sounds like a simple problem or not an issue is being dealt with clearly, eventually underlining its significance. The story clearly shows the plight of a woman assigned an outdoor duty in the scorching heat and unable to answer nature’s call. There is also a tiny portion of how the police handle Sri Lankan Tamils suspiciously. Watch the movie to know how the day of Samandhi ended. How did she relieve herself from the stress? What happened after that? Miga Miga Avasaram highlights one of the crucial yet neglected issues of outdoor female workers.
