Mayapetika is a comedy thriller starring Payal Rajput, Rajath Raghav and Viraj Ashwin. The story is all about the journey of a smart phone that changes various hands and shows life stories of various people who got impacted and motivated by the mobile phone. The movie holds six stories which are interconnected through this phone. Payal Rajput who is a heroine receives the smart phone as a gift from the film producer. While her boyfriend starts suspecting her, she gives that phone to her assistant. Then he gives that phone to a Corporator (Prithvi) saying that it is the heroine’s phone. However, he loses it in a car and a car mechanic (Viraj Ashwin) finds that phone. Then the phone goes into the hands of Aasra (Simrat Kaur), Watchma Narayana (Sunil), his wife (Syamala), thief Srinu (Srinivas Reddy). All these people get affected in their lives because of that smart phone. Each one reacts in different manner when they get it. The mobile phone brings a lot of change in their lives. The movie also showcases the power, money, love and lust at different stages. Among all, Srinivas Reddy plays a role of transgender which looks refreshing performance with dual variations to earn money to feed his family. He also has a monkey which steals the money from other people. In that process, the monkey steals the mobile phone from a person. Srinu could not feed his monkey and thought to sell it to the film industry people. After a while, he sells the mobile phone and gets the monkey back. Watch the film to know the rest of the story.
