Maataraani Mounamidi is a suspense thriller. Ram's (Mahesh Datta) sister gets married to Eshwar (Srihari Udayagiri). After a long time, Ram meets his brother-in-law, Eshwar, in Araku as his sister dies. There, Eshwar lives alone in a big bungalow. One day, Ram stays alone in the bungalow as Eshwar goes out to do some business work. At night, Ram hears suspicious sounds in the house. He goes upstairs and opens the doors of a room. There, he finds the dead body of Eshwar. With this, he gets scared and runs out of the house. Then he comes to the hall and stays there all night. The next day, in the morning, Eshwar comes home. Seeing Eshwar alive, Ram was shocked and told what had happened last night. Both of them go upstairs to see the dead body. Here comes the twist. Eshwar finds Ram's dead body while Ram finds Eshwar's dead body. The love track between Ram and Sita (Soni Srivastava), a classical dancer, goes smoothly until strange things happen in the house. After Ram puts a ring on his finger, he finds it has some peculiar powers. From then on, some mysterious incidents have taken place. What is happening in the house? What is the story behind the ring?
