Madraskaaran uses the idea: small, unlucky events turning into big trouble. Sathya (played by Shane Nigam) keeps having bad luck in his life. First, he bumps into a motorbike, which leads to a fight with Durai Singam (played by Kalaiyarasan) and his group. Then, he accidentally hits Singam's pregnant wife (played by Aishwarya Dutta) with his car. This causes a lot of noisy drama. The main part of the story is the rivalry between Sathya and Singam. The movie quickly jumps to shouting, fights, a very strange scene in court, and Sathya's missing wife, Meera (played by Niharika Konidela). The movie tries to say something important about power and justice. Sathya is a dull character who doesn't seem to have a job or much of a pleasant personality. The villains are furious, bossy and threaten people, the hospital staff talk in a serious and scary way, and Sathya's friends join in the fights. Shane Nigam and Kalaiyarasan are good actors. Aishwarya Dutta and Niharika deliver decent performances. There are many fight scenes; the plot is suitable for action movie lovers. There are emotional sequences as well. Overall, Madraskaaran is a simple action movie that you can watch on a lazy afternoon.
