The story of Luckunnodu centers on Lucky (Vishnu Manchu), a young man who is considered an unlucky charm by his father and friends. Because of this reputation, he struggles to gain respect or maintain a steady job. Despite his misfortune, he falls in love with a girl named Padma (Hansika Motwani), who is famous for her ""positive"" attitude and is known as ""Positive Padma."" The plot takes an exciting turn when a massive heist occurs in Mumbai. A ruthless gangster named JK (MVV Satyanarayana) masterminds a bank robbery involving 25 crore rupees. Through a series of coincidences, the stolen money ends up in Lucky’s possession. A thief who was part of the heist leaves the bag with Lucky for safekeeping, but he is killed before he can retrieve it. Suddenly, the man who was once ""unlucky"" finds himself holding a fortune that belongs to a dangerous criminal. The rest of the film follows a cat-and-mouse game between Lucky and JK's gang. While the villains hunt him down to recover the money, Lucky uses his wit to protect himself and his family. He also tries to prove to Padma and his father that he is not a failure.
