Love Marriage is a family drama about a man finding love in an unexpected way. The story follows Ramachandran, or ""Ram"" (Vikram Prabhu), a 33-year-old bachelor from Madurai. Because of his age and graying hair, his family pressures him to get married quickly. Ram and his relatives travel to a village called Kolappalur for an engagement with a woman named Ambika (Sushmitha Bhat). Ambika is very shy and does not talk much. Just as the family is about to leave, the government announces a COVID-19 lockdown. Ram's entire family is forced to stay at Ambika’s house for several weeks. During the stay, Ram tries to get to know Ambika. He starts chatting with someone on WhatsApp, thinking it is her. However, he is actually talking to Ambika’s younger sister, Radha (Meenakshi Dinesh), who is much more outgoing. This leads to a big misunderstanding when Ram tries to show affection to Ambika, and she rejects him. How does Ram come to know that it was Radha who had been chatting with him and sharing her thoughts? Who is Ambika actually in love with? Who does Ram want to marry in the end?
