Mridula (Nagma) and Arun (Prabhu Deva) meet and fall in love. They are both from rich families and decide to live together to see if they are a good match. After a few months, they get into an accident, and Arun dies. Mridula is heartbroken and starts seeing visions of Arun everywhere. Her family thinks moving to the UK will help her forget him, so they send her there. In the UK, she meets Mano (Raja), a young man who likes her. Her parents hope she will fall in love with Mano. But Mridula can't move on from Arun, so she runs away. She then meets David. He looks like Arun. She then follows him to find out his whereabouts. Whenever she tries to talk to him, he says he doesn't know her. However, she later discovers that her father had Arun sent away because he had helped Arun's sister get married and threatened to ruin Mridula's family's reputation.
