Jumanji: The Next Level is a 2019 film. It is a fantasy adventure that came out in 2019 that continues the saga of the magical video game. The story picks up a few years after the happenings of "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle." While Martha, Fridge, and Bethany have adapted well to their post-Jumanji lives, Spencer is struggling to find the same excitement and confidence in the real world that he experienced as Dr. Smolder Bravestone. Feeling a void, he secretly retrieves and attempts to fix the broken Jumanji console, only to be sucked back into the perilous game. Concerned by his disappearance, his friends Martha, Fridge, and Bethany return to Spencer's grandfather Eddie's house to investigate. They quickly realize Spencer has re-entered Jumanji and decide to follow him in, determined to bring him back. However, a chaotic twist occurs: Eddie (Spencer's grandfather) and his estranged friend Milo (Danny Glover), who are visiting, are also pulled into the game. To add make things more complicated, the game glitches, and their avatars are mixed up. Martha once again becomes Ruby Roundhouse, but Fridge finds himself in Professor Shelly Oberon's body, while Eddie takes on Dr. Bravestone's avatar, and Milo becomes Franklin "Mouse" Finbar. Bethany is left behind in the real world. Now, this mismatched group of players, along with the unexpected elderly additions, must navigate the ever-evolving, dangerous world of Jumanji. They encounter new landscapes, from scorching deserts with giant ostriches to icy, treacherous mountains filled with Mandrills. Their mission is to find Spencer, retrieve the magical "Falcon Jewel" from Jurgen the Brutal (played by Rory McCann), and show it to the sun in order to win the game and escape.
