The people of Kataripalem village have many commitments. The village elder man, Jalaiah, played by MS Chowdhury, protects those commitments of the village. He is a great protector of the village and the surrounding areas. Often, the fishing boats of the village are hit by storms and cause losses. Therefore, they appeal to the MLA of the area, Dasharatha Ramaiah, played by Sivaji Raja, to build a jetty and help the fishermen. However, since he is an MLA from opposition party, he raises his hands and says that he cannot help them in building a jetty. However, Mime Gopi, who plays the villain in this film, keeps on opposing him, saying that if this jetty is built, the fishermen will not count on them anymore. At the same time, Sri, played by the hero of the film, Krishna Manyam, who comes to the village as a teacher, contributes his part to the development of the village... and falls in love with Jalaiah's daughter Meenakshi, played by Nandita Swetha, the heroine of the film. One day, they leave the village. With that, Jalaiah feels humiliated according to the culture, tradition and customs of the village. Did Jalaiah get the jetty from the government for the fishermen who trusted him?
