Jail tells the story of three young men living in Kaveri Nagar. It is a poor area where many former slum dwellers have been moved. Karna (GV Prakash Kumar) is a small-time criminal. Rocky (Nandhan Ram) sells drugs. Kalai (Pasanga Pandi) wants to live a normal life after being released from a juvenile prison. Their neighbourhood is known for crime. It seems easier for some to become criminals than to travel to the city for work. Adding to their problems, a corrupt cop named Perumal (Ravi Maria) often falsely accuses them of crimes. Rocky's fight with a rival gang leads to someone dying and pulls his two friends into a world of violence. Despite trying to show the difficult lives of these young men, the movie's writing is simple. The story talks about Karna's carefree life and romance, Rocky's fights with other gangs, Kalai's struggles to find a job because of where he lives, and Perumal's evil actions. The movie also shows the love of a mother - Karna's mother, played by Radikaa Sarathkumar. Kalai's story shows how hard it is to escape this kind of life, even if you want to. Overall, Jail is an action drama you can watch with your family.
