In the movie Hero, Rishabh Shetty plays the role of a barber. He is a furious young man who gets fuelled in a jiffy when messed up. He was in love with Ganavi, but broke up due to differences. Ganavi gets married to a cruel and criminal-minded boss man, Pramod. He is the owner of the Ashokavan Estate, which is his fortress. Pramod has an enemy boss man named Ponnappa. They both have their gangs, and the two gangs are fighting against each other, filling the surroundings with violence and bloodshed. Pramod terminates Ponnappa. Pramod is into ill-treating his wife Ganavi, and she is in no way happy in family life with Pramod. Once Rishabh is called in to do a haircut for Pramod and is asked to come to Ashokavan Estate, he finds Ganavi there and plans to kill both Pramod and Ganavi. In the meantime, Ganavi, thoroughly frustrated with Pramod, finds a chance and kills Pramod. Rishabh is the only witness for her murder of Pramod. Rishabh finds out about the pain Pramod has given Ganavi and promises to help her escape from there. Pramod's gang members come to know that Rishabh and Ganavi are behind Pramod's murder. A cat-and-mouse chase starts between Rishabh-Ganavi and the gang members. The gang catches the couple, but diseases Ponnappa's son barges in at the same time and kills the gang to avenge his father's death. He also tries to kill Ganavi. Rishabh fights back and kills him. The story ends happily, bringing the separated lovers together and leaving Ashokvan Estate.
