Alok (Naveen Shankar) is a brilliant but shy engineering student. He hacks systems for fun with his friend Kitti (Rangayana Raghu). After college, Alok joins a startup, struggling with low pay and a dull life. He falls for Pooja (Sonu Gowda), a bold colleague, but she’s unaware of his feelings. Alok’s hacking skills catch the eye of a cybercriminal, Ananth (Avinash), who lures him into dark web jobs for quick cash. Alok gets tempted, starts leaking data, unaware it’s tied to Aadhaar fraud. Meanwhile, Inspector Divya, a sharp cybercrime cop, tracks a major data breach, and finds Alok’s digital footprints. As Alok’s secret gigs grow, he buys gifts for Pooja, but she gets engaged to another man, breaking his heart. Kitti warns Alok about Ananth’s dangerous network, but Alok ignores him, craving money and thrill. Divya’s team gets to know Ananth’s plan to sell Aadhaar details to terrorists, putting Alok in serious trouble. When Kitti is attacked, Alok realises he’s in deep trouble. Using his hacking genius, he turns the tables, planting false trails to trap Ananth. In a tense chase through Bangalore’s tech hubs, Alok teams up with Divya, exposing the fraud network. In the climax, Alok risks his life to stop a data heist, redeeming himself but facing jail. Pooja visits him, hinting at respect, not love. Gultoo is a good film to enjoy watching with family.
