Rishi (Karthik) is a rich, irresponsible young man. He doesn't believe in true love. Rishi becomes attracted to Nila (Suvalakshmi). Nila is portrayed as a traditional Indian woman who values her purity and follows Indian customs. However, she is also a modern woman who is strong, independent and doesn't care about societal opinions. Suvalakshmi plays this role with conviction, making Nila a powerful and admirable character. Mohan (Karan) is a troubled character who suffers from suicidal thoughts. He loves Nila deeply but doesn't know how to express his love properly because of his strict upbringing. He tries to win her over by sending her tapes of love songs and inviting her to the beach. When Nila finally meets him, she says No to him. However, after learning about his suicide attempts, she decides to get along with him. Their friendship grows, and Mohan is willing to accept Nila for who she is, hoping to marry her. However, when Mohan chooses his parents' wishes over Nila, Rishi steps in to help her by offering her a place to stay. To know what happens to these characters, watch the movie.
