"Evaru" is a suspenseful murder mystery with the story cantered around Sameera Maha, a businesswoman accused of shooting DSP Ashok Krishna. She says she acted in self-defence because he had attacked her before. Ashok’s family is taking legal action against her and has hired lawyer Ratnakar for the case. Meanwhile, Sameera’s lawyer, Banerjee, has ties to corrupt Sub-Inspector Vikram Vasudev, who took bribes to hide important evidence. Under pressure from Vikram, Sameera admits that she knew Ashok from college and that her husband, CEO Rahul Maha, is gay. At the same time, Vikram investigates a missing person case involving Adarsh Varma, a teenage cancer patient whose father, Vinay, has been missing for a year. At first, Vikram wants to help the family for money, but later he decides to assist them for free. He discovers Vinay's last known location in Coonoor and finds a broken side view mirror from a black car. Now he has proof that Sameera and Ashok were part of Vinay's disappearance. As Vikram investigates further, he worries about Sameera's choice to hide the truth. Are her reasons more dangerous than we think? Who is responsible for Vinay's disappearance?
