Dumm Dumm Dumm has a simple and good story with funny and sharp dialogue. It's an enjoyable comedy set in a beautiful village in the Tirunelveli district with a nice local language. The story is about the wedding of Aadhi (Madhavan) and Ganga (Jyothika). They first try to stop the wedding, but their plans fail. A fight during a card game ruins their relationship and the families' friendship. Then, they meet in the city and fall in love. The rest of the movie shows how they finally get married. The movie uses the local language and shows the town well with its train station, buses, hills, canals, farms, and streets. The director, Azhagar Perumal, understands and shows the story in the characters. Whether it's the families or friends, each character adds something funny to the story. Pattamma (Kalpana) is only in a few scenes but is memorable with her smiles and shy acting. The movie has pleasant music throughout. Whether Aadhi is looking for Ganga, they are planning something, or Ganga is dancing, the music fits. The songs are very successful and memorable. The action and how the actors speak are good. Even with a different accent, the actors add flavour to the story. All the characters, big or small, help the story move forward. Vivek's comedy is excellent and fits well with the main story.
