The movie takes place in Dharmapuri, a town in Tamil Nadu where people make a living by crafting dolls from clay. A powerful man, Mokkaiyan (Manivannan), and his sons take over the village land and rent it out to a local politician, Konda Mookan. Feeling humiliated and angry, the villagers decide they have had enough of Mokkaiyan and his family's bad behaviour. They go looking for Sivaraman (Vijayakanth), the son of a good man named Meiyappan. Meiyappan used to work hard to help the village but was forced to leave by Mokkaiyan's family. The villagers finally find Sivaraman in Rameshwaram, where he is working hard to improve the lives of the people there. They convince him to come back to Dharmapuri and teach Mokkaiyan and his sons a lesson. Sivaraman returns to his village with a mission. He meets Valarmathi (Raai Laxmi) and falls in love with her. At the same time, he starts his plan to make the bad guys pay for what they have done. The other actors in the movie are Vijayakumar, Rajesh, Raj Kapoor, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Manobala, Sumithra, and Ramji. Dharmapuri is an action drama you can enjoy with your family.
