Daas begins in a village where some upper-caste men celebrate a temple chariot festival. Antony Daas (Ravi Mohan) and his friends enjoy the event and pull the chariot into their lower-caste neighbourhood. This angers a local leader named Annachi (Shanmugarajan). Meanwhile, Annachi's daughter Rajeshwari (Renuka Menon) falls in love with Daas. Her sister Punitha (Monica) runs away to marry Guna (Abhinay), a lower-caste classmate of Daas. When Annachi finds out, he sends his men to kill Punitha and Guna. He brutally sets them on fire in front of Daas. Furious, Rajeshwari decides to teach her father a lesson by running away with Daas, vowing to marry him. The couple seeks shelter in Madurai at the house of Nasser (Krishna), who promises to help them get married. However, Annachi's men find out where they are hiding and come to Madurai to stop the wedding. Nasser's father, Vappa (Salim Ghouse), promises to unite the couple. Then, Nasser's brother Anwar (Adithya Menon) appears, planning to create terror in Madurai in the name of Jehad. The rest of the story shows how Daas overcomes all these problems and finally marries Rajeshwari. Daas is a romantic drama you can enjoy watching with your family.
