Action hero Sarath Kumar plays the role of sakthivel, aka Velu. Velu is a middle class man leading his life by selling home appliances on his bicycle. He has a sister Lakshmi, living along with him. Velu comes across a beautiful girl Anjali and falls in love with her at first sight. She is not interested at the beginning, but slowly falls for his love. When all is going smooth and well in life, a trouble shows up in Velu’s life. He witnesses Raghavan doing a murder. But as he wants to stay away from problems in life, doesn’t report the murder to police. Raghavan harasses a college girl and Lakshmi confronts him. Raghavan gets obsessed over Lakshmi. He wants to marry Lakshmi by force. Velu bursts down in anger and beats up Raghavan and his allies. Anjali insults Velu saying that he is selfish and concerned only about his sister, as he hadn’t reported the murder he witnessed earlier. Lakshmi, then reveals the flashback of Velu. Lakshmi is actually sister of Mani, a close friend of Velu. Velu was Military officer from the Milutary. Once back from military, Velu confronts a corrupt police officer. Velu meets with DGP to report, but DGP says he is helpless. Velu decides to put a check to the corrupt officials and teams up with Mani, and start fighting as vigilantes. Mani dies in the process and Velu takes care of Lakshmi as his own sister. Villains from Velu’s old life show back and the real fight starts.
