1996 Dharmapuri film, as the title depicts, is a story that took place in the Dharmapuri village of Telangana region in 1996. The movie stars Gagan Vihari, Aparna Devi, and Suri, played by Gagan Vihari, a typical middle-class youngster from Dharmapuri. Hanumantha Rao is the president of that village. He adopts Suri as his foster kid and raises him. Suri is very hardworking and loyal towards the Sarpanch. Suri’s original parents want to get him married soon. But Suri is reluctant to marry. Lakshmi Rajyam Patel is the political opponent of Hanumantha Rao. This heats the political equations, leading to disturbances in the village of Dharmapuri.
