This is a movie about what can happen when people care too much about social media. Ezhilan (played by Vidharth) and Tamizh (played by Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli) are married. They can't hear or speak. Their daughter is in the hospital, so Ezhilan goes to see her for a few days. One day, he is on the metro returning home and gets very tired. So he starts to fall asleep. That is when Antony (played by Karunakaran) comes into the story. Antony loves social media. He is also on the metro that day. He sees Ezhilan sleeping and takes a picture of him. Then, he posts it online. Antony makes a big mistake by writing, ""A drunk person on the Metro"", as the caption for his picture. This post of Antony changes Ezhilan's life. His name gets ruined. In his workplace, they refuse to keep him. How does Ezhilan fix this problem and save his reputation? What does Antony do about it? The rest of the movie tells you what happens. Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, who plays Ezhilan's wife, delivers a good performance. Mariam, who plays Antony's strong, single mother, also acts well. Payanigal Gavanikkavum is a simple, well-made movie about society and social media viral posts. It gives an important message that we really need to hear right now, and it does it in a good way. Watch the movie to learn the message.
