Bhama Kalapam is a comedy thriller film starring Priayamani, Saranya Pradeep and Kishore in lead roles. Priyamani plays the lead role as Anupama Mohan, a middle-class nosy housewife. She runs her own YouTube channel by uploading her cooking videos. The film starts with a history of precious Easter eggs, which Russian Jeweller Faberge has made. One is in a museum in Kolkata, and the same gets stolen. While transporting that stolen egg to the ringmaster behind the crime, the team meets with an accident on a bridge. The egg falls onto a poultry truck carrying eggs and is transported to an egg dealer. The egg dealer finds it and holds on to it in his flat in the apartment complex where Anupama resides. Anupama is always very nosy and interested in other’s matters. She has an informer, Shilpa, a maid who works in different flats in the complex carrying news from all over with Anupama. Anupama observes the egg dealer having a serious argument with his wife, watching through her window. She, along with Shilpa, gets into their flat secretly with a duplicate key and finds the egg dealer’s dead body. Someone is already in the flat, and he attacks Anupama. She stabs him with a knife while protesting the goon. Frightened, Anupama shifts the corpse of the goon to her flat. Police start their enquiry about the egg dealer’s murder.
