Nenu Naa Nestham is the Telugu-dubbed version of the Kannada film Naanu Matthu Gunda. Shankar (Shivraj KR Pete) is a kind-hearted auto-rickshaw driver in Bengaluru. He struggles to make ends meet. One day, he finds a stray dog in his rickshaw and names it Gunda. The two become inseparable, with Gunda bringing joy to Shankar’s tough life. His neighbour, a cruel man, hates Gunda and tries to harm it. Meanwhile, Shankar faces financial problems and pressure from his family to settle down. Gunda’s playful antics, like chasing kids or stealing food, cause funny village disputes, but also show the dog’s loyalty. When Gunda goes missing, Shankar searches frantically, facing taunts from neighbours. He learns that the neighbour poisoned Gunda out of spite. Shankar becomes heartbroken and confronts the man, leading to a heated fight. Lakshmi and friends help Shankar heal, reminding him of Gunda’s love. In the end, Shankar adopts another stray, honouring Gunda’s memory, and finds the strength to move forward with Lakshmi, proving that true friendship endures even through loss.
