Kathalo Rajakumari is a 2017 Telugu romantic action drama that explores the complexities of ego, fame, and the inaccessible nature of true happiness. The film centres on Arjun (played by Nara Rohith), a successful and egoistic superstar in the film industry. Arjun, who is famous for playing villainous characters on screen, lets his real-life persona reflect this as well. People around him perceive him as brutal and arrogant and thus distance themselves from him. However, Arjun faces an unexpected crisis - he struggles to play villainous roles effectively. Troubled and desperate to regain his acting skills. Arjun devises a plan to confront the "villain" in his own life. He believes that by facing this past antagonist, he will be able to regain his ability to rekindle his dark acting skills. This leads him back to his childhood village and, specifically, to Sita (Namitha Pramod), a kind-hearted and straightforward village belle who was once his childhood friend. Unbeknownst to her, Arjun believes she betrayed him in their youth, making her the "villain" he needs to confront. He intends to emotionally manipulate and "destroy" her to fuel his acting, believing it will restore his lost menace. He orchestrates situations to create conflict and pain in her life, thinking this process will help him rediscover his inner villain. But durning this, Arjun starts to see Sita's true nature. The film's narrative then explores how Arjun falls into a dilemma, choosing between his revenge and nd genuine emotions driven by the truth.
