




Vijayanand is a biographical drama that tells the inspiring real-life story of Dr. Vijay Sankeshwar, a legendary Indian businessman who built a massive transport empire from scratch. The story begins in the small town of Gadag, Karnataka. A young and ambitious Vijay (Nihal Rajput) works in his father’s (Anant Nag) printing press. His father is content with their traditional family business, but Vijay wants to start something much bigger in the transport industry. He faces heavy criticism and does not get the required support from his family and society. However, Vijay takes a huge risk by buying a single truck. He faces a lot of challenges and hardships throughout his journey. He manages a world filled with competition, corrupt officials, and local transport unions that try to hinder his growth. However, through discipline and commitment, he gradually expands his fleet. His vision leads to the creation of "Vijayanand Roadlines" (VRL). Over time, Vijay transforms from a local transporter to a national tycoon. He also enters the media industry by launching a successful newspaper. Later, he also enters politics to bring about social change. Throughout his struggles, his wife Lalitha (Siri Prahlad) and later his son Anand (Bharat Bopanna) stand with as the pillars of his strength.
