Priya (Anasuya Bharadwaj)is a pregnant widow. She struggles after her husband Surya’s death in a factory accident. She lives with her aunt and works as a tailor. She faces financial strain. Abhi (Viraj Ashwin), a rich, reckless young man, parties hard, ignores his mother, and clashes with her new partner, Dr. Prem. One day, Priya visits an apartment to collect compensation from Surya’s company, while Abhi heads there after a fight with his mother. They meet in an elevator, but it breaks down, trapping them. Priya, annoyed by Abhi’s arrogance, scolds him for not wearing a mask during the COVID-19 lockdown. As hours pass, Priya’s water breaks, and labor pains begin. Abhi, initially panicked and clueless, tries to help despite their differences. Through flashbacks, we see Priya’s loving marriage and Abhi’s carefree lifestyle, including his one-night stands and family tensions. With no rescue in sight and the city watching them on live TV, Abhi steps up, guided by Priya’s strength and his stepfather’s medical advice over the phone. The situation grows dire as Priya’s delivery nears, and Abhi faces his own fears and selfishness. In a tense climax, Abhi helps Priya deliver her baby in the elevator, finding purpose in the act. The experience changes Abhi. Priya finds hope in her newborn. They’re rescued, and Abhi begins to get back on terms with his mother.
