Subhalekha Sudhakar, plays the role of Devadas, who is a skilled photographer in the film, Sitara, directed by Vamsi. One day, while on a train, he encounters a mysterious and sad woman (Bhanupriya) who boards without a ticket. Feeling sympathetic, he lends her some money and tries to chat her up. She introduces herself as "Sitaara" and mentions she has no place to stay in the bustling city. Intrigued by her quiet demeanour, Devadas offers her a place to stay. He notices Sitaara's striking looks and helps her Seek a profession in modelling and acting. As he manages her appointments, he starts to develop feelings for her. However, when Sitaara refuses to go to a particular village for a shoot, Devadas faces humiliation from the producer. He is disappointed with this and gets upset. Devadas shows anger on Sitaara because of her behaviour. He them presuurises Sitara to share what exactly happened in her past life. Sitaara opens up about being the surviving sister of a once-proud zamindar who passed away. Her brother kept her sheltered and restricted, following the traditions of wealthy landlords. Sitara's brother is already neck deep into debts. But, never does he showcase his actual financial conditions outside to the villagers. He is hopeful to win the ongoing court case and restore all his wealth and glory back. On the eve of Dussehra, a team of performers arrives in the village, starting their shows at the zamindar's home as per tradition. With the zamindar absent, no one is there to appreciate their efforts. One day, Sitaara sees Raju's performance through a cracked window and falls for him. He notices her watching and puts in even more effort the next day. Eventually, Sitaara finds herself falling for Raju. After learning about her past, what steps will Devadas take? How will he support Sitaara? Will he be able to bring them together in the end?
